Professor of Music and Department Chair W. Anthony Sheppard recently began his term as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the American Musicological Society. JAMS, published by the University of California Press, is the flagship journal for musical scholarship and has over 5,000 subscribers worldwide. In the 66-year history of the Journal, Prof. Sheppard is the first Editor-in-Chief to be selected from a liberal arts college.
